Workshop Cards!!!

I finally sat down and got them all done. As per feedback from the last workshop, I opted to stay a bit more simpler this time without a ton of techniques, since I've already taught you most of the more standard ones.

These cards can all be used as birthday or whatever other occasion you wish to make them for. The paper packs featured this time is Seaside (female) and Wanderful (male). They cost $3.00 each and include an envelope to take home with you.

Workshops will be hosted for August 9th and August 31st at a different location to be provided when you sign up for the workshop. It will run the usual hours from 1:00 - 5:00PM. Thank you to both hosts that graciously offered up their home to host this.

Summer workshop!!

Wow, what a crazy life so far between work, gardening, and trying to get all my ducks in a row for a summer workshop that was requested by my ladies :) The running theme for these cards were all layouts from Sketchbook Saturday Challenges! What can I say, I'm a huge fan of Chupa's work and her layouts were fantastic.

This time, I also wanted to showcase some of the beautiful paper packs that CTMH has in their catalog. The three paper packs featured are Ivy Lane (girl birthday cards), Timberline (boy birthday cards), and Skylark (baby congratulation cards)

Holidays From The Heart Gift Guide and Christmas Workshop

Two neat things to tell you about today.

First of all, Holidays From the Heart Gift Guide!

For each $100 that you order, you can choose a free "star" item from the Holidays From the Heart gift guide. There are some gorgeous products in there that cannot be found in the standard CTMH Idea books so make sure you look through the gift guide.

Secondly here are this year's designs for the Christmas Card workshop.

Card #1: This was inspired by a Pinterest Pin from Handmade Holiday

Card #2: This was inspired by Andrea Ewen's take on Case Study #158

Card #3:This was inspired by a Pinterest Pin from SplitcoastStampers

Card #4: This was inspired by Iwona Palamountain's take on Case Study #108

Card #5: This was inspired by Anya Schrier's take on Case Study #135

Card #6: This was inspired by Iwona Palamountain's card from her personal blog

This year, I trimmed down to six cards as I found it hard to maintain 8 designs, and from last year's experience kept most of the cards to more simplistic rather than difficult designs. After all, sometimes the simplest cards are the most elegant.

If you'd like to buy a set of cards to put together as a pre-stamped kit or purchase pre-cut cardstock along with the associated stamp sets, please let me know.

It's getting cold - we got our first snows last weekend!

It's going around...

... must be flu season. My only participant for last Saturday phoned and said she had the flu, so that got cancelled. I'll see what happens about her choosing another date to cardmake or if she'll join the other ladies at the end of Nov.

However, I was semi-productive and was able to make gifts for all my workshop participants last weekend. I took the new Artiste cartridge for a whirl and it's got so many fun things in it! It did unfortunately cut one of my shapes off center, so I decided to update the firmware for my E2.

I made little bags which contain a little something for each of them coming by!

I'm hoping that everyone is hale and healthy for my November workshop and for all of you - stay safe this Halloween!

Trick or Treat,

Christmas Workshop Designs are here!

My workroom is a mess with blocks, stamps, cricut mats and inks everywhere, but I had a ton of fun making up these designs! And I cannot wait to get to the workshops - I'm looking forward to crafting with friends and having tons of fun with paper and glue.

Again many thanks to Case Study for all the inspiration - there's a ton of talent over there and some drop dead gorgeous cards to boot. It once again is spearheaded by Chupa of Random Acts of Creativity who also sits on the design committee. Half the fun of doing card workshops is the excuse to go and dig through Case Study.

I apologize for the sad quality of these photos, but I'm almost out the door to catch yet another flight (can you tell one of my other hobbies is travelling?) but I wanted to get these designs out to those lovely ladies who are joining me for my workshops Oct 27 and November 24th.

All the cardstock bases are courtesy of Michaels, but all embellishments, inks, patterned cardstock, and stamp sets can all be found in the latest CTMH catalogue.

I'll never learn to pack the night before,
