Unexpected invitation

I was talking to a fellow coworker one day, as we had tea - I had heard that she wasn't returning to the office for a while, and I was concerned about her. In the end all is more or less well, and this followed with an invitation to her wedding at the end of this month! Talk about impromptu...

Japanese drumming, Italian fest, open bar; I just had to give her another card on top of the one I already gave her!

Today's inspiration: MOJO200 by Mojo Monday

and of course I thought I'd take a close up photo to allow you a view of my border embellishment punch from Fiskars:

I cannot wait to go to this Chinese/Italian wedding - it'll be fun!

Changes at CTMH!!

I know I haven't posted any artwork in a while but I've got my eye on a layout from Sketches in Thyme that I'm planning to use for my never-ending wedding album.

I wanted to take a quick moment to bring you some highlights that are coming in August!

a) Cricut Partnership!! CTMH and Cricut have teamed up to provide you a cartridge with shapes that correspond to several stamp sets in the new catalogue, fonts, 3D items and tons more!! Here is a video of how fantastic this is - I admit I am not a Cricut owner but I'm seriously thinking about adding it to my Xmas wishlist.

b) Price changes! If you thought CTMH was fairly priced before, you'll find this even better. There are now even lower prices on stamp sets:

A size = $7.75
B size = $10.95
C size = $15.50
D size = $19.95
E size = $33.50

c) Stamp of the Month can either be acquired for the low price of $19.95, or $5.50 with an order of at least $55 and up.

d) You can earn Hostess rewards on any order you put through! Hostess Rewards start at orders of $165 (that's 30$ worth of freebies). The more you spend the more free stuff you get - see your catalogue for details.

e) 6x6 Quick Pick albums - for those of you with no time to scrapbook and tons of photos of your kids, pets, or family this is the ideal for you

f) New paper packs!

g) and last but not least, new embellishments and accessories.

Contact me for your copy of the new catalogue today!

Fun Birthday Times

My husband's Grandmother is turning 80 and having a huge celebration in Denmark. She asked us to be there, but unfortunately we cannot go due to planning obstacles. So, instead I decided to make her a fun and feisty card. I think this is the loudest card I have ever done, but it also is supposed to show that when you're 80 you can do whatever you want.

Today's card is inspired by Got Sketch: Sketch 122

Here's my take on it:

Cardstock:
* Local finds

Tools:
* Provocraft Edging scissors
* CM Limited Edition Butterfly Pocket Punch (retired)
* Fiskars Border Punch

CTMH:
* Card Chatter
* Bohemian Alphabet
* You and Me
* Spring Iris Ink
* Tulip Ink

Remember, if you are a new follower (drop me a comment if you are!) or order this month you can enter to win one of four Petite Perks Love stamp.

No shortage of babies

The previous owner of my cats, and mother to my godson has told me over lunch she was expecting #2. I'm thrilled for her! I know that it's pretty early on still, but I thought I'd do up a card for her now and add it to my stash of ever-growing cards, so when the time comes, I just need to grab it and go.

Today's inspiration is MOJO198 from Mojo Monday.

The inspiration is stitching on the card, but I am still learning the ways of my sewing machine with fabric nevermind paper. I also tried hand stitching but you do not want to know how disasterous that got.

Patterned Cardstock:

Punches:
* CM Mini Heart Punch (retired)

CTMH:
* Mayberry Paper (Mayberry Workshop To Go)
* Smoothie cardstock (Mayberry Workshop To Go)

Mayberry Madness

I am going to a birthday BBQ tomorrow, for a former co-worker who has done a bit for me lately. So, along with a bottle of wine (her favorite), I also decided to gift her a homemade card. The bonus is, I also got to use my new CTMH corner rounder and figure out a use for the beautiful papers in the Mayberry Workshop kit.

Today's challenge is MOJO197 from Mojo Monday.
