When I first saw this set I couldn't believe my eyes - I just had to have it because it was so cute! And many years later I keep incorporating these little guys into my Christmas cards whenever I can.
Today's inspiration is from Geri of Geri's Paper Wishes... it's so adorable.
I didn't have the same tag die but all I did was cut a square out, then use a strip of cardstock and a pencil to measure out the frame and free-formed the rounded corners. Perhaps I should look into a frame-based cartridge for my Cricut or submit a suggestion to the execs at CTMH for the next cart!
I'm always partial to the lace snowflakes on the Art Philosophy cartridge.

Christmas in a Picture Frame...
... there's just something about frames lately that it showed up in both cards that I was working on! What can I say, I couldn't help myself. Homemade cards sometimes have a habit of "making" themselves. I know it's past Christmas but I still have a few card posts to make.
Today's inspiration: Barbara Anders of Paper Pursuits
I have been dying to use the Swirls from CTMH in some sort of Christmas card, but a proper use didn't actually surface until now! I stamped three of them and wound up moving one of them into the inside of the card in Juniper and Ruby Inks after I cut them out. And I just had to paper piece the ribbon, it was literally calling my name. The white epoxy adhesive stars are by far one of my favorite new embellishments in the Annual Inspirations catalog.
I brought the same red frame inside the card and the candy cane stripes in. After all, what is Christmas without candy canes, cookies, and mints?
Other:
* Red Cardstock
* White Cardstock
* Copic Markers BG72, YG63, YG67,R24, R29, Y11, Y13
CTMH:
* Swirls Around
* Yuletide Greetings
* Card Chatter - Christmas
* Mistletoe Level 2 Paper Pack
* Ponderosa Pine Ink
* Ruby Ink
* Juniper Ink
* Enamel Adhesive Hearts
* Sparkle Adhesive Assortment
The new year is quite balmy so far, hope you are enjoying the sun!

Ok, so I'm a little late, but better late than never!! I have lots of exciting news to tell you about!
First of all I will start thinking about the Spring 2015 workshop - birthdays, babies, thank you type cards. I'm considering either late May or late June, depending on how things go. I will keep you posted.
Secondly - how exciting is this!! With a qualifying hostess purchase, you could wind up with even more hostess rewards!

This means an additional $30 USD/CAD, giving you the opportunity to earn up to $230 or more USD/CAD in select free products. You could pick up the newest storage tote for 50% off that stores the existing hard cases.

Super cute for either scrapbooking or for cardmaking! I'll be getting my hands on this adorable little set for sure. This would also compliment the Noted Paper Kit so beautifully especially the "Remember this moment" sentiment.
Contact me if you're interested or have any questions! Happy 2015!
Sometimes you just see a card...
... and you just gotta make it. This one from ScrappieToo that I found on CaseStudyChallenge was so adorable I couldn't pass it up, and it was perfect for a new baby card.
Today's inspiration: http://scrappietoo.blogspot.ca/2014/09/create-smile-september-bloghop.html : Angie Curvers, the very first image in the post.
The littlest critters from Cuddly Salutations was just perfect to be playing in the windows I had cut on the top. However, it wasn't easy to cut them and I wound up having to do it 3 times before I thought it was done right. My trick? Cut out three squares, place them and use a pencil to draw guiding lines on the cardstock. Then use an X-acto knife to cut into the middle, then use your scissors and cut along the lines. The critters themselves and accompanying bubbles were colored with Copic markers.
I decided to bring the pattern papers to the inside of the card as they feature in the background of each window, and used a black gel ink pen (fine Sharpie works too!) to draw the lines.
Other:
* White cardstock
* Black gel ink pen
* Copic markers
CTMH:
* Love Life Set
* Little Reminder Set (retired)
* Cuddly Salutations - Hostess Rewards set
* Barn Red Ink
* Outdoor Denim Ink
* Twilight Ink
As it's the new year and I have some exciting news for you... that's coming in the next post!
